CELLGUARD™ Wireless is a wireless battery monitoring system (BMS) that provides accurate and reliable indications of battery health through the monitoring and analysis of voltage, temperature, and conductance.

Due to its strong resistance to interference, the CELLGUARD™ Wireless battery monitoring system is ideal for power plants, data centers, telecommunications systems, and DC devices where AC ripple is filtered.

ADVANCED EQUIPMENT The CELLGUARD™ Wireless battery monitoring system is capable of monitoring up to 16 battery strings, each containing up to 300 batteries per string, and supports up to 600 sensors per BCU.

CENTRAL UNIT BCU Manages battery sensor test functions, collects test data, communicates with the network via TCP/IP, and is powered through the battery string voltage via its converter. Supports MODBUS TCP/IP for integration with building infrastructure.

BATTERY SENSOR The sensor is connected to the battery and receives its operating voltage from the monitored battery. It minimizes wiring, installation costs, and maintenance. The sensor measures the conductance, voltage, interconnection resistance, and temperature of the individual battery for monitoring. Compatible with VRLA and VLA batteries.

VISUAL STATUS INDICATOR The battery condition can also be viewed at the device level. The sensor indicates the battery’s status using LED colors, allowing staff to quickly identify batteries that require attention.

CELLGUARD™ Wired Battery Monitoring System (BMS) offers an economical yet highly accurate and reliable local battery remote analysis solution for applications with high electromagnetic interference. Performance indicators ensure continuous 24/7 monitoring and enable the planning and maintenance of predictive maintenance.

When the performance of the battery systems is in good condition, it ensures uninterrupted power for critical loads when it’s needed the most.

RELIABLE HARDWARE

Battery Sensor
The sensor is capable of monitoring the internal resistance, voltage, and temperature of the battery. This provides a comprehensive analysis of the battery’s health. One sensor is needed per battery.

Control Module
The control module records critical performance-related elements, including alarms and discharge events. Alarm parameters and limits are managed through the control module. It also sends real-time system information through the web-based CELLTRAQ™ Battery Monitoring Software (BMS).

The control module can communicate with RS485, Ethernet, MODBUS/RTU, MODBUS/TCP, and SNMP protocols. Data derived from the BMS is easy to integrate into most third-party systems.

String Sensor and Current Converter
String sensor modules are required one per battery string. Together with the current converter, it is possible to monitor string voltage, current, and environmental temperature.

CELLGUARD ELS+

CELLGUARD™ ELS+ Electrolyte Level Measurement System provides reliable monitoring of electrolyte levels and temperature for flooded lead-acid (VLA) batteries of all voltages, sizes, or models used in power plants, telecommunications, data centers, and industrial battery-powered applications.

The CELLGUARD™ ELS+ Electrolyte Level Measurement System does not interfere with the operation of VLA batteries. It handles 24/7 level monitoring and enhances operational safety by issuing an alert if the battery temperature is abnormal.

HUB
Sensors connect to a common hub, which provides power to the sensors and generates alerts from the system. The hub integrates individual sensor alerts from all sensors into a common relay contact. The LED light indicates the status of each sensor, allowing the unit that triggered the alert to be identified locally.

ELECTROLYTE LEVEL SENSOR
The sensors provide an LED indicator, making it visually identifiable which VLA batteries require maintenance. The sensors are connected in series to adjacent sensors using modular cables to create a sensor chain.

SENSOR CHAIN
Sensor chains can be added to the monitoring system by adding another hub and linking their relay outputs. The cable routing is optimized in the connection between components by creating a chain between the hub and sensor, and sensor-to-sensor, without additional wiring.
