About us
Elcon Oy operates in two business areas: ENERGY and MARINE. The facilities for both are located in the same building. The Energy division provides product solutions for electricity certification and storage. The Marine division, on the other hand, delivers demanding automation solutions for ships and power plants. Comprehensive automation project and engineering expertise provides synergy benefits and enables large delivery packages.
Quality systems (ISO 9001, 14001) have been in use since 2007, when the first Central European delivery projects were launched. Today, the company’s quality system also includes ISO 45001, the Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
History
- 2006 – Establishment and Research-Based Origins
The company was founded as a result of a TEKES research project, focusing on the development of its own products. - The First Years – Development of EPS Systems
We manufacture the circuits for EPS systems ourselves. The transition to sourcing ready-made components began. - Business Expansion – Export
Signing of major contracts and selection of components for customers. - 2019 – Renewable Energy Products
The first renewable energy storage products were introduced. The focus shifted to electric mobility, solar energy, and storage. - Solar Energy and Storage
- 2021 – Merger of Polarinst Oy and Elcon Solutions Oy
Polarinst Oy acquired Elcon Solutions Oy and was renamed to its current name, Elcon Oy. This marked the beginning of operations under the new brand, the strengthening of resources, and the expansion of business areas.

Domestic Production
Elcon Oy is located on Lisenssikatu in Naantali, where our production and product teams also work. We collaborate daily with our customers and partners around the world.
The manufacturing of EPS systems follows lean management principles, where forward-moving material flow, standardized work steps, and continuous improvement create a competitive factory environment for the benefit of our customers.
Our quality management and operational systems are ISO certified.
