The system’s control unit features a high-resolution LCD touchscreen for system configuration. The system status and real-time signal data can be checked through the display.
Control unit
The control unit features an integrated USB interface for local firmware updates, configuration updates, and system restorations. The Modbus communication protocol enables real-time monitoring and transmission of analog and digital signals, as well as alarms, to systems such as SCADA.
Rectifier modules
Modular rectifiers use high-frequency switch-mode technology. The AC input and DC output are galvanically isolated. The DC output can be regulated to supply a constant voltage regardless of variations in input voltage or load.

Data transfer
The measurements and alarms of the EPS solution can be transferred via MODBUS TCP and SNMP
A new feature in EPS solutions is also the support for IEC 61850. Data transfer to systems like SCADA can be done using this communication protocol.
Redundant monitoring
In modular EPS systems it is possible to add two CXC HP monitoring units to a single system with one acting as the primary unit and the other as a backup. If the primary unit fails the backup unit activates and takes over the monitoring of the EPS system. This setup improves the overall redundancy of the system.
The EPS system can also operate without a monitoring unit, in which case the rectifiers will supply power to the load using default settings.
